CAB Worldwide is one of the leading suppliers of manganese wear castings for jaw and cone crushing equipment, cast and forged wear parts for underground Coal mining equipment as well as forged and machined Flight Bars, Straps and E-Bolts for Coal mining conveying equipment, with a customer base that includes both OEM's and after-market service centers.

It was the investment in time conducting research into various rock and aggregate types and matching materials to these findings that set CAB apart in our initial efforts in the South African market. This research led to development of parts that guarantee the best wear characteristics for the type of product being mined both in Africa and in North America.

This level of commitment is a perfect example of why CAB's products have become highly regarded in both North America and Africa. These studies, conducted by CAB's US Based staff metallurgical experts, resulted in CAB becoming a supplier of choice for aftermarket spare parts in the mining and aggregate industry in South Africa, with product supplied out of our Johannesburg, South Africa warehouse and distribution facility.

It's one thing making the recommendations and defining material types – it's another thing to persuade suppliers to adopt new concepts/ideas. Therein lies another of CAB's strengths. CAB has developed key strategic supplier relationships over the last couple of decades with several pre-eminent Chinese and Indian based forging and casting facilities specializing in wear materials. By combining CAB's in-country casting and forging engineering and QA strengths with the knowledge of these factory teams, we were able to develop solutions that resulted in benefits to our customers and to the factories.

CAB warehouse and distribution facilities in the US and in South Africa mean that CAB is ideally located to offer an in-country business relationship, combined with the quality guarantee as a result of a dual inspection process (at the source inspection and in-country incoming inspection), while giving our customers the cost advantage of associated with low cost country sourcing. When combined with extended wear life of specially designed wear components CAB succeeds in driving down the 'Total Cost of Ownership' for our customers.
